A Team Arena Master style gametype would be awesome , sorta like last team standing

I do like fun mods aswell. My fav was always Qpong & Gloom on Quake2.

Zombie isnt copyrighted. Zombie is pretty cool idea.

If you try to make a pokemon style game type I will cut your legs off with a bread knife.

About the nexball suggestion, I'm no coder but I noticed you can shoot gibs around, so why not make the ball a giant gib.

And assault is the most awsomest thing evar.

Freeze tag would never be played by anyone.

Just my opinion.

+1 on Freezetag, I've played a lot in Quake3, very fun, gripping and entertaining mod.
When you're fragged, you cannot move, shoot or do anything, and your character is jailed in an icecube. You can spectate, but you can't talk to your team mates who are still in game (in quake3 there was a separate channel for spectators).
The way to free your team mates is to stand for a few seconds near them, iirc 5 seconds. You don't have to wait the whole 5 seconds, you can do it in parts too, so if you get distracted, you can return later, and you don't have to start ovr the unfreezing procedure again.
The team who's players are all freezed, loses.

+1 for Freeztag.

C.Brutail described it correctly, except that it's 3 seconds to unfreeze someone, and if you move away from a frozen teammate the counter starts over.

Also, you can shoot a frozen enemy to move them in the Quake 3 version (not sure about the Quake 2 version, it's been a long time). You can move them more depending on the strength of the weapon you use.

And if you get frozen and fall in lava for 3 seconds, you melt and then respawn. If you get frozen and fall off the map, you respawn.

There's still a lot of people who play the Freeze mod in Quake 3 to this day. I would love to play a version of it in Nexuiz!

I just installed Quake3 few weeks ago and played Freezetag = it's was brilliant.. I liked it :D

Good to have an endorsement from an Advanced member :D

Some other things I forgot to mention about the Freeze mod... IIRC, when all the members of one team are frozen, they all die and respawn for the next round, but all members of the winning team that are frozen will remain frozen. And there's a timer for how long people remain frozen... something like 2 or 3 minutes. After that, they unthaw and can respawn.

This is a mode I have been thinkin about for a while now (not specificly for nexuiz, but that doesn't matter.)

Capture the spawn.
Or any other good name

It's a team game where two or more teams try to kill everyone of the other team. The game ends when everyone from one team is death. HOWEVER, when you first spawn you gain an item that you carry around (like the flag in CTF). As long as you have that item your teammates can spawn right next to you. When you die you drop the item, and don't regain it when you spawn again. Anyone can pick it up, but if that person has one already it will be "destroyd" so there will be one less spawn for the other team, if you grab one while you don't have one already you will be able to use it like normal. When you die you go into some kind of spectator mode that allows you to choose next to what player you want to spawn.
The regulair spawns will only be used as a spawn when you join the game.
When one team has no "spawns" left on players, killed players will not be able to respawn unless one of the people left alive recaptures one.
Maybe this could be used in CTF maps with the "flag" of the other team as thing that grants the person who "grabs" the "flag" another spawn. (The flags stays at its place.)

I agree with the capture point idea. I enjoyed that mode a lot in Team Fortress 2. It would be a great addition to the game.
