Nexuiz Weapon Data

Fresh, updated chart for 2.3 by Morfar here

Damage:
The damage from a dead-on hit in which the shot completely hits the target.
Min. Damage: The minimum possible damage from a weapon, such as the edge of an explosion, or a single pellet from a shotgun.
Refire: Number of seconds between consecutive shots from a gun.
Speed: Speed of projectile fired from gun. Hitscan weapons hit instantly.
Blast Radius: Area of damage of explosions. Damage diminishes linearly from center of blast.
Force: Throwing force of a weapon. Note that shotgun, machinegun, and nex gun cannot be used for self-propulsion.
Spread: How much the projectiles will deviate from the fired path.
DPS: Damage per second.
Min. DPS: Damage per second resulting from Min. Damage.
Ammo per Shot: Amount of ammunition required for a single shot of a weapon.
Ammo per Second: Amount of ammunition consumed by a weapon per second, during continuous fire.

Notes:
The "-1" and "-2" after the weapon names denote primary and secondary fire modes respectively.
Since Nexuiz 2.3 Newtonian physics (with aim correction) is applied to projectile speed. Speed = Speed of projectile + Speed of player. Hitscan weapons hit instantly.
Shotgun secondary firemode takes 0.4 seconds to fire all three shots.
Machinegun primary firemode first fires a shot doing 30 damage, then all shots afterwards do 16 damage.
Electro combo does not have the properties of most other weapons, since it does not come directly from a weapon.
Crylink secondary firemode is virtually impossible to hit 100% on one target, because of it's natural plane-like spread.

Thanks to esteel for finding the forces of bullets and nex blasts, and for making a major correction to the machinegun DPS calculation.

After a 1v1 session with Dave where I kept eating mortars and was dancing around like a jumping bean, I had some questions regarding some of the details of the mortar, RL and the electro. Dave was nice enough to come up with this table to help explain some of the finer differences between the various weapons that someone like me might not understand.

Knowing stuff like this can definitely affect my strategy. The really interesting thing is the damage-per-second value. That really shows the potential of the weapon, if each shot lands perfectly.

Anyways, my point is...DAVE IZ TEH AWESOME!

Very interesting doc =)

I didn't know that machinegun make more damage than shootgun per second. sg:133 , mg:160. I always use 3* shoots with shootgun
I make some calcul :
The famous 3* shoots of the shootgun make 180 damage on 1.35 second (refire) . if all pellets hits
To make 180 damage with machinegun that need 1.125 second (180/160 =
1.125)
I'm wrong or I should take the machinegun with the first shoot even on very close fighting ?

Thanks

Well if you ignore the refire time the shotgun secondary can do 180 damage in 0.4 seconds. Thats how long it takes to fire those three shots.
The shotgun primary will get a bit weaker in the next version of Nexuiz as the spread gets increased a bit so its harder to hit all bullets. And the secondary will get a huge increase in spread so now you can only use it when you are really close to your opponent. Thats to make primary = mid range attack, secondary = close range attack.

And i'm sure the MG data is a bit wrong. There are two firemodes: First shots that are high damage with a higher refire time and sustained shots which do less damage but fire faster.
Secondary firemode has only first shots but the primary firemode has ONE first shot and then sustained shots.
So secondary is indeed: 30 / 0.2 = 150 damage per second
But primary = 30 + ( 16 * 0.8 / 0.1 ) = 158 ( Well just 2 less but we want to be exact :) )

Fixed.
I apologize for this gross error of putting 160 instead of 158.

Hehe.. well to be totally exact it would be 158 damage for the first second and 160 for the others.. but i think that would be too much info in that spread sheet.

Hay, I liked this chart so I made a new version of it, you can sort the guns ascending or descending by clicking on the column headers.
And I added 2.3 data.

Here you are.
