dropped weapons should retain extra ammo ?

Any particular reason this is not the case?

Not really a big deal, just something I noticed.

(Great game, I enjoy it a lot. Just wanted to say thanks since I'm not up to snuff with programming myself.)

If i understood you right then i think its a bad idea.. a few guns share the ammo so for example: if you drop someone a rocketlauncher you do NOT want to loose your ammo for the mortar or hagar..
MAYBE a button to drop ammo is an idea but the next release is about to happen and its a bad thing to add too much stuff in the last minute..

Yeah, I am playing with the 2.3 beta3 :)

It really isn't a big deal to me, and apparently no one else has brought it up, so there must not be much interest anyway.

To clarify, I didn't mean weapons that YOU drop on purpose. I mean the weapon that is dropped after a kill. If player A has a certain amount of ammo left in his gun when he dies, then it should stay with his weapon. Instead, as it is right now, you only get a certain default amount when you pick up his weapon.

Oh those dropped guns.. no i think thats a bad idea.. its too easy to rack up ammo then. Kill someone two times and you have enough rockets for the hagar to spam for the rest of the level :P

THis has been brought up before. I'm in favor of it.. if you die, the weapons should contant the correct ammo anout, if you drop it by choice, it should contain the ammo it has, limited upward to the standard value

Perhaps not all the ammo the vic have but somethign like up to 2x the ammo you normaly get for this gun.

I think it should stay a set value of extra ammo- dependant on which gun. For example, the RL could only have 1, becauseonly 1 rocket fits in it at one time. The MG has larger clip, so more ammo. (Is this how it's done now?)

Right now you get the default amount of ammo you also get when you pickup the 'item' variant of that gun that is layout around at the 'static' spots in the level..
