On a related note, I'd like to see a rune where your amount of invisibility increases the faster you go. It can be a ninja rune :).

I think the ninja power-up sounds awesome , imagine seeing your enemy fading into existence as they decelerate to get the flag and then fade out again as they blast off home again.
Also the juggernaut power-up (i just thought of that :D), does it need the be part of the strength power-up in or a separate one, one touch kill aura, or does Nexuiz have limited slots for power-ups also?
I suppose making something compatible with existing maps without having to edit them is an issue here.

I never understand taht :
Why teh fuck shield and strength disapear when you die.
Make them re-pickable when there left time.
Anyway, I like the strengh.
Another thing about super powerup :
Why only 2 items ?
Invisibility in normal DM should be fun. Why only on minsta...

(plz admins, don't desactivate super items; thats funny)

More items in CTF would be great. I never understood why powerups or runes couldn't be used in CTF.

powerups are an essential part of CTF.

in CTF it might be an idea if you drop speed / shield / strength when you die that it is able to be picked up again (with the remaining seconds of use left...if this can be done?)

however i think it would be best for CTF only for this aspect, in DM / TDM i think it is better if you get fragged it gets taken off completely.


and -z-, there is a Speed powerup in the game..no one ever seems to put it in maps though..

a cool variation would be that only the dropped weapon of the strengh-carrier still has the advantage of the strength for the remaining time. This way one does not have 100% advantage of a killed strength-carrier as he won't have the strength working for all weapons, but as an additional advantage you could "hide" your "strenghed" weapon until you really need it (of course, even if you hide it, the time would still have decrease as if you were using the weapon)

What about making this instagib strength into a Mutator?
For me the idea sounds like fun, though as mentioned before it's probably not good for usual gameplay.
You could add a glowing orb thing around the player, I was thinking about an effect similar to DBZ without that cheesy flame crap, just lightning bolts and stuff. So that the player is even more visible than with usual strength.
