I want to add a few things.

The run
race_ovalrace: Red Dragon 0:05.6

is not the best you can do with old physics. I did 4.8 some time ago, but it was done locally.

I also tried teachers with old physics and got 32.x with little effort (5-10 tries).
These times fit into div's statistic. (sorry for showing-off :P )

The new physics are indeed slower, which is really annoying (for me) on large maps.

On the contrary, they feel better on small maps and some trickjumps became surprisingly easy. Thus I think 1on1 gameplay will be better while ctf/race gets slightly worse.

EDIT: about the "impossible" jump on test99. Is that the one over the slime? For me its possible... but the rocketboosting is impossible for me.

Oh, you manage to pull off the slime jump?

Because, I can do the rocket launcher part, it's trivial for me :P

I'll put the map back in then. I thought the new physics broke the slime jump...

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Are you using the 2.5 rocketlauncher? I cant even keep the current height.
Lower radius and damage make the boost very weak.

what Red Dragon said about ctf and race getting worse with new physics and 1v1 and dm getting better pretty much sums up my perspective too. It works extremely well for 1v1s.

Red Dragon: yes, I was using the 2.5 rocketlauncher, on my server. It IS possible. If needed, I can show you, it's really not hard.

However, it takes me ages to get there, as I have to take the noob paths for the first and the second part.

I tried test99 on Lazy Dog. MUCH easier there. The Rocketlauncher on my local svn server can't be the same as on LazyDog. :o Can you check this, pls?

You yourself can check it: "cmd cvar_changes" lists all changed server settings.

My servers run the original weapon settings.

@ green:
soylent: Rampjump near the pad to the megahealth
aggressor: Rampjump on border of the stairs from the 4x 5hp packs to megahealth
close to practicable in a match.
