I've been maintaining a server for a few friends and we're having a great time and really love the game. One of the mods that we have made is to drop the shotgun primary refire rate down to about 0.15. It makes the shotgun more like the Severian's mod for Half-Life, and eliminates the need to go hunting for a decent weapon all the time (our play time is limited). However, I noticed a strange thing:
When you drop the shotgun refire that low the crosshair moves up the screen (as if it were kicking back), but with the actual aim point of the gun stays in the center of the screen. You can see the same thing if you face a wall with the normal shotgun and shoot in secondary mode. The crosshair will move up but the second and third shot will hit the wall below it - in the same spot as the first shot.
Is there a way to turn off the crosshair movement for the shotgun or make the gun actually aim where the crosshair is pointed? With the current method you would have to aim above anybody who is a medium distance away. Or, if you're trying to compensate for the rise and push the crosshair down you end up shooting the ground.
I read through a ton of variables and couldn't find anything obvious. Since the Uzi _doesn't_ rise (which is odd in itself) is it something in the gun model that needs to be changed?
Thanks!
