Now with a second fire mode: "firemines". They are small flames on the floor, and if you get too close to them, you get hurt by "sparks" coming out from them.

They can still be tuned using cvars to behave like the old seeker secondary :P
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

This is a really cool weapon div, I really hope you plan to make it an official weapon to replace the TAG. If you just reduce the radius' and increase the speed a little on the primary fire, it could be perfectly balanced, as well as unique.

I mean, I don't know if folks noticed this, but this is the only weapon in nexuiz that has non-terminal splash damage. The fireballs cause damage just by flying close to someone and then it keeps on going.

Okay, updated the pk3.

Now, if DIRECTLY hit by a firemine, you burn for 4 seconds (unless you run into water fast).

Secondary is still the BFG-style blast.

I aim to get this into version 2.5.3, not into the soon coming 2.5.2.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Are you going to want a new model for this at some point?

Of course, seeker model is just preliminary.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Hi divVerent..

Hey divVerent. I'd much prefer a weapon that shot out a ball of fire in the style of the mortar (but with not as much distance or height), and created a "ripple in the pond" splash damage effect along the ground where ever it landed.

I understand it's because of my low skill, I know this weapon is under development, but in nexuiz 2.5.2 in "Single Player" the FireBall makes level 12 a complete hell where i am always being hurt through walls... can i disable it? and how?
thanks for the attention and for you effort in creating a better game
