regarding the graphic quality you can use the "Wait for gpu to finish each frame" option described
here.
Then you end up with really nice smooth quality since you can have all settings max. It will look choppy when you record, but be
patient!
If you use Terrence Hills "democam menu file", (linked in post above). remember to remove it from your nexuiz/data/ otherwise nexuiz wont list severs next time you want to play online.
Another tip is putting:
set cl_capturevideo_fps 90
In your autoexec.cfg which helps on capturing fast movement and make all around movement more fluid.
I usually encode
my videos with
handbrake (remember to limit the framerate when you encode), and
mkvmerge to join several clips together, so I myself have a good copy, then I upload to youtubes.
