I undersand that my vision of nexuiz is pretty different from the developers'. But I would realy like to have your attention on the weapons that were introduced in 2.5 and why I think they don't fit in.
1)Tagseeker. Well, this one has been removed and replaced with fireball, so..
2)Fireball. This weapon is rarely used. Well almost all of these weapons are rarely used but this one is even less popular (just like tag seeker was once). Fireball is more like a forfun weapon then a realy usefull one. More then that it much more depends on luck then skill of the player. It can deliver huge damage and be completely useless with a bit less luck. Plus it's condusing to use.
3)HLAC. Well.. I think it is used a bit more often but generaly it is not too popular. And it is a mixture of crylink and hagar. Why double the weapons functionality?
4)Camping rifle. This is the hard one. It IS widely used. And the idea of hit throug glass is awesome. But. The need reload is not a good idea for a game like nexuiz and is irritating. And this headshot thing is illogical, since all other weapons' damage does not depend on the part of body you hit(and I think it should not). And moreover it takes the functionality of the nex.
To sum it all up. Do we need these weapons? I think the weapons should all be unique. Shouldn't we better tweak other weapons' balance? For example increse haggar damage(probably not actually=) or smth like that instead of adding new once that actually just copy the ones we already have.
+It is not good to have one key for two weapons.
