Then what happens to me when I nex rockets and they go off (and I miss the guy. When the guy dies the rocket goes off right?)? But also sometimes when I nexed near a rocket it went off too and this was in the air with no other shoots near it. If I couldn't nex it it really seemed I could, and not only once. Was I just lucky in a strange way?

At first I thought it was a mistake or that I saw wrong but as it happened multiple times I thought, 'Oh cool!'

Splash damage from nex.. lool .. That's the only explaination .. or that the game has gone live and are now growing on it's own. :]

No. Probably your enemy detonated the rocket in panic... such things can happen.

(rockets & grenades have no size, they are just a point, so they can only be destroyed by splash damage)

Strange. I've nexed rl's before quite often and my aim isnt the best.
Is it still possible to change the direction the the rocked tih the blaster in 2.0/2.1 ?

Yes, all splashdamage weapons will alter the rocket's trajectory (of course only if it doesn't destroy the rocket).
