versy slow

Postby elwario91 » Sun Jan 28, 2007 7:39 pm

Hello,
I played enemy territory for a while and now I tried nexuiz but...
The game is very slow!
It's the only game who's so slow :(
I'm using a nvidia card with all set to optimized performances :(
There's maybe an option that my nvidia card doesn't render fast
Can someone try to help me?
Thanks

Please take a look at Nexuiz/Docs/FAQ.html (frequently asked questions) or take a look at this thread: http://forums.alientrap.local/viewtopic.php?t=90
The part 'Nexuiz running too slow/too fast' :)
Nexuiz still has quite some very demanding features active by default like real time light and shadow similar to doom3 which really drain fps but also look very good.

Can you give us details of your computer? There's no way we can advise you on getting the best performance without knowing a bit about the situation.

If you're on Windows make sure you have OpenGL drivers installed. The drivers Windows ships with only have a software renderer which is painfully slow.

well enemy territory IS quake3-based thus uses opengl but yeah it might be a good idea to make sure drivers are uptodate.
