How can I found out how much fps I am getting?

Hi I was wondering how I can find out how many frames per second (fps) I'm getting?

You just need to open up the console (shift + esc) and then type

Code: Select all

showfps 1

This will show you the FPS in the bottom right corner of the screen

Change the 1 to 0 to turn it off.

Isn't it easier to point people to the settings/misc menu? Its just a click on the 'show fps' option
