HUGE performance drom with the minstagib

Most of the time i can play nexuiz at about 60-70 fps with a minimum of 35, but when i play on a server with the minstagib, the fps drop down to 10. I've tried all the gibs settings, but the only one that makes effect is turning off the gibs. Also, sometimes there are random drops when i face some direction. They're specially frequent on the map starship. I've been making some tests but i can't find their cause.

I play with high settings (but anisotropy down to 4, i can't really see the difference with a higher setting), 1024x768 (i play with that resolution on most of my games, but my screen is a 17'' TFT with a native of 1280x1024) and no antialiasing.

My system specs are a Athlon 64x2 @ 4800+, 4GB of DDR2-667 and a GeForce 8600GT. I know it's not a high-end system, specially the graphics card, but isn't a bad system. I can play most of my games at 1024 with decently high graphic settings, except the most demanding ones (Crysis, MS FlightSimulator X, ArmA 2...). I never use antialiasing, because the performance i lose by enabling it is the same as setting a higher resolution.

I have same problems in minstagib, with similar computer. here are settings that might help you
cl_gibs_lifetime 1
set cl_gibs_maxcount 20

it will delete gibs after 1 second and dont allow more than 20 at the time, its better than nothing

could be, or make file autoexec.cfg and put it there, and place that file in same directory as config.cfg
