Having been a big UT99 player I always got annoyed with the way game like Quake 3 have ordered the weapons, so with Nexuiz I experimented around to try to find the order that gave me the best UT-style feel. It aint perfect, but here are my weapon priority settings and binds. I also added in parenthesis what role the weapons play. I figured since there are a bunch of others on here who play UT99 I'd post this.

Rocket Launcher (Eight Ball/Rocket Launcher)
Hagar (Flak Cannon, medium to close range)
Rifle (Uses same slot as Machine Gun)

Mortar (ASMD Shock Rifle, useful around corners)
Crylink (Uses same slot as HLAC, also serves a similar purpose to the HLAC and UT99's Ripper)
Heavy Laser Assault Cannon (Plasma Gun, spam weapon)
Electro (GES Biorifle, good getaway/defense weapon)
Shotgun (Enforcer, dependable starter weapon)
Laser (Impact Hammer, Last resort weapon and jumping device)
T.A.G. Seeker (USELESS)
Grappling Hook (Tranlocater)
