Performance Problems (High End PC)

Getting 200-300fps average depending on map, but in heavy action will drop to 50 or so. (Even on low settings)

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 4GHz
4GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
ATI Radeon HD4890


What tweaks can I apply to stop this?

Surely the gibs bug, disable them in Multiplayer / Player Setup.

Thanks mate, amazing difference in performance... now running 400fps on ultra, just without gibs.
