looks like z-fighting more than a texture problem :\.

I fixed the z-fighting and I made the grate texture transparent. Not sure what else you could mean :P

argh, i cant stand this! it looks really really awful. please, for goodness sake, someone re-enable self shadowing on wielded weapons?

also, another bug. hdr lighting seems to disable bloom when they are combined, and does nothing when on by it's self.

You can only use HDR or bloom, not both. I don't know why HDR does nnothing for you but I think it is a lot more realistic than bloom.

HDR and bloom are basically the same! Bloom is faster but more likely to create a moiré effect.. and yes HDR overrules bloom if both are on.

esteel, it isnt that bloom is being over ruled, it's that it's being shut off. and hdr isn't working at all.

I just tried it, r_hdr IS more subtile then r_bloom but its working even when r_bloom is 0.. thats in the very last test download (that was not announced and for 'internal' testing)

oh....ok.

well, in the release i have it doesnt work at all. i guess you've fixe dit then.


so is the weapon shadow thing going to be changed for the final release or what?


cuz i think it would be very good to change it back.






but you knew that :-P.

No the weapon thing will not be changed, do not expect such huge change to the rendering half day before the release :P
