maybe you noticed that the Build System is broken again, as well as the 'NEWEST' precompiled SVN release. This is, so i understood, due to a broken FTEQCC, which should be downgraded by now (or updated in future) to fix it all.

however, on Windows Esteel (thanx mate) on IRC told me this cool workaround:

in Build.bat you have the first line shown above, - exchange it with the second, then meaning not downloading the newest version, but last known working version 3177.

svn checkout https://fteqw.svn.sourceforge.net/svnro ... gine/qclib fteqcc
svn up -r 3177 https://fteqw.svn.sourceforge.net/svnro ... gine/qclib fteqcc

should work similar on Linux, but i am not familiar with the scripts there.

oh, and don't forget to REMark the first line, - to change it back later on when it's fixed for real.

(it is pure coincidence that it reads LLIE heads-up^^)

Well actually i'm not too familar with the windows build system and i rather think there should be some other line to replace/change. But if it works, then fine :)

server speed

Postby fronten » Fri Jun 12, 2009 5:59 pm

may it be possible to have the files at http://emptyset.endoftheinternet.org/~rpolzer/nexuiz/builds/ with DATE in the name?

or SIZE or something else to see if it has changed..

i didnt update the package for weeks because of some 'fteqc:locked'-error with my build package; but now i decided to do a CLEANUP and redownload / recompile the whole stuff.

worked, but took aeons because of all the redownload going on with ~170kb/s.
whilest that is not a bad speed it seems unsufficient for such a BIG package.
Any chance to maximize the download speed serversides?

oh, and i am just wondering why my SVN Build directory is about 3.27 Gigs big, with ~27000 files.. (and there is also the My Documents\My Games\nexuiz\ directory with 750 MB for all the online downloads)

just curious, glad it worked ;-)
thanx!

Targas take much space because they are uncompressed.
