Desert3 is very nice as well :D It reminded me of the old songs from the original Unreal which made me happy.

A small suggestion regarding Sixtyfour: Maybe you could cut a little from the silence at the end, the song waits for more then 6 seconds before it starts looping again which I think is a bit long.

Was going to rework the song a little. Will take your suggestion into consideration when I render it again :)

And another-- suggestions and opinions welcome. I ran vorbisgain and didn't leave as much of a silence tail on this one.

It's called ninesix.

The OGG is here, and the project file is here

EDIT:
Ran out of my google pages bandwidth, so hosting it elsewhere for now:
OGG here, and LMMS project file.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfpH9Z0YdDM
As OGV: http://emptyset.endoftheinternet.org/~r ... z/sync.ogv

It is now possible to synchronize particle effects to background music of the game. I wonder if I should commit this change to desertfactory :P
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Not sure, too much orchestra hit :P

Sorry, I really hate orchestra hit sounds, none ever sound good... they all remind of bad MIDI patch sets. In sixtyfour it's still okay, but there aren't that many in it...

when I try to ignore the orchestra hit overuse, the track isn't that bad... but I don't see where it could be used for Nexuiz. Maybe someone else has an idea.

After watching the movie Fifth Element, sampled orchestral hits will never cease to be awesome.

I don't imagine this opinion is shared by anyone but me :P.

Just means more epic maps need to be created :).
