Two things nexuiz really needs...

The new 2.5 release is fantastic.

Two suggestions I have would be:

1. A way to normalize the volume level of all music in the game, and then control how loud or soft it is, so all music would be at the same level, which would be user adjustable. You can change the music volume currently, but the initial volume varies so greatly in each map, it's kind of pointless.

2. A way to disable the scoring indicator on the HUD and still keep the clock/timer.

All audio tracks are already normalized.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

I am talking about normalization in realtime though, so custom maps with custom music set at wacky volumes would be the same.

No, just tell the authors of these custom maps to run vorbisgain on their ogg files.

It really takes too long to normalize a track to do it at realtime.
