Havoc laser is so awesome. Try it.

It has secondary fire that does damage, and faster than default primary fire that is used for laserjumping.

But faster fire rate on primary mode allows for incredible pushing around against walls and ceiling and stuff.

In general havoc laser is superior to nexuiz laser in every way. The only possible drawback is that currently laser secondary does weapon switching, but since we are going to have Q button for default weaplast, it is just fine to ditch that feature.

Please vote to make havoc laser default in nexuiz too.

It would be great if you could make a non-biased poll.

Given opinions by many nexuiz players in the past, most know that it is possible to bind weaplast to a key, and still prefer to have that feature on laser secondary. So such a change would be game breaking for a lot of people...
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

I voted no, because many people are just too used to this, including myself. This would also make the laser more powerful than it already is. Since the player spawns with it and it has unlimited ammo, it does not need to be made stronger IMO.

I also voted NO as the havoc laser has almost half the refire time of normal Nexuiz, meaning it would not only have a possibly confusing new mode but also change the balance of the laser a lot.
Besides i find the split into push/damage a bit strange given how the laser worked the last 3+ years :P

I voted yes, because:

1) Sec. fire - last weapon switch is illogical and if someone wants to be serious he keybinds rl and nex and uses that instead.
2) Making laser stronger would be another reason to get rid of shotgun as starting wpn and make it proper separate weapon.

Yet, as estell said, splitting push and damage is weird.

I voted no, too. Because we allready have a very strong starting weapon with SG and the normal laser is good for what I need it in tdm/ctf/1v1.
