Nexuiz 2.0 hotfix

This hotfix patches a few bugs that sliped unnoticed in 2.0 release.
Bugs fixed:
- weapon refire rates were depending on the servers tickrate, which made the hagar too slow (see LordHavoc's earlier patch)
- deluxemapping switch in effects menu showed "custom" on default settings
- sv_autoscreenshot didn't show the scoreboard on screens (and was thereby pretty useless ;))
- the chatbubble sometimes disappeared
- laser targets in laser guided missiles matches were not removed when a player died

Here's the patch PK3 (just download and put it in Nexuiz/data. For anyone interested: the source is included as patch):

This patch will be included in the upcoming Nexuiz release, so please test and report any bugs left you find.

Any chance of a hotfix to revert the Grapple back to its orignal style

It ruins the fun of nexuiz with utter crap swinging grapple

Myself I wont be playing Nexuiz until they fix this in v2.0
or ill request my isp to downgrade to 1.5

I think it's an svar to use the classic grappling hook. Someone can correct me on this if I'm mistaken, or clarify, since I don't know what the name of it is.

I love the new grapling hook. All we need now is a few spiderman maps and my life would be complete. What's so good about the old GH vs the new one?

I don't want to be a pain in the ass but: that was a bug i expected :) Programmers somehow always manage to screw that up :D
(Hopes there isn't such a bug left when going to spectator mode)

I don't like it either, even though I have figured how to use it, I find it useless in tight indoor maps (which the classic one is very good useful for).

g_grappling_hook_tarzan 0 goes back to the classic one.

div0 created the tarzan grappling hook.

Thats not quite the old grapple hook. Try exec oldhook.cfg vs exec newhook.cfg the speed and pull is different with both which this single variable does not change :)

EDIT: just ignore my stupid comment below, i should get more sleep maybe then i would have READ gamemode ARENA DO'H i'm so stupid. if i could stop playing nexuiz to 04.00 evey night i might notice the letters forming words on my screen. excuse my astonishing stupidity :)

I'm experiencing some problems after installing the hotfix. i can't join the game on a newly started server until after a map change has happen. anyone else have this ?

I tired those suggestions , it didnt help

Any other way ??

Is their a 2.01 patch coming out by any chance that reverts grapple back to the same way as 1.2 and 1.5 ??

Well of cource those things will only work if YOU host the server.. (Campaign, Instant Action, Create or dedicated server)
