Is their a 2.01 patch coming out by any chance that reverts grapple back to the same way as 1.2 and 1.5 ??

"exec oldhook.cfg" works perfectly fine here.

So its a server side fix , not the client ?

If so ill request my ISP to update its settings then on the dedicated standalone server

Yes... this would be a server side fix, as if affects player movement and so on, and that is controlled by the server

I never play Nexuiz on lan , instant action or single player
I only join the Bigpond Gamearena Nexuiz Australian server.

I will request that they fix the server side settings,
if that doesnt work , ill request they downgrade to 1.5 which works fine.

I think what green is saying here is that what you are reffering to is not a bug, and it will not be fixed. Its the new way the hook works

A certain other setting comes to mind but that one is just an poll so i think thats an different thing

Back to the topic.. Both hooks have their pros and cons and as the grapple is not even on by default i'm not so sure its really worth all the trouble of asking a server admin to change it. And installing an 1.5 server is an more bad idea as newer client will not even see it in the server list anymore so you will soon be pretty alone

But Nexuiz is so flexible to make people change it like they want.. So if the server admin makes this change to use the old hook then fine but make sure he does mention it in the sv_motd ..

Hmmm... the screenshots should definitely get transferred to the server.

Why? Right now those screenshots are only useful when playing ladder matches and the people have to upload those screenshots them selfs when entering the results. They would be useless on the server, just using up disc space.
I guess you want to use them to prevent cheating? Those screenshots are not created to do such a thing..
