frame by frame mode available?

Postby nirr » Tue Jul 07, 2009 10:41 am

hello,
i'm trying run nexuiz on a gpu simulator - and i would ideally like to see each frame being displayed, but since my simulator is so SlooOOoww, it jumps a few seconds forward in each frame, and i don't get all the frames i would usually get had i run it on a regular gpu. I'd like to turn that feature off, can some one either send me a ptch or tell me which line to change, thank you!

If you are not using SDL, set sys_usenoclockbutbenchmark to 1. However, it may render too MUCH... as in, too short frames, but you can set the time delay of this simulated clock in sys_linux.c.

Alternatively, record a demo, and run it with "timedemo demos/foo.dem", or "nexuiz ... -benchmark demos/foo.dem".
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
