Correction: fine as it was. svn default messes it up. But yeh i agree, However - if it has to be altered to satisfy the gods of bitching; this is the best idea so far IMO.

Yea but eventually I feel it's just going to get so badly nerfed it'll be pointless, someone who can place a few well placed rockets or rox/mortar combo's can kill someone with the nex quickly. I think it's just because some people can use it well and others can't, but that's the same for other weapons.

The hagar seems over-powered to me..but only when waldi is using it, because he is f'ing good with that thing :twisted:

However in tight game's even the hagar which has been known to be 'useless' has made a lot of kills on for example 2on2tdm stormkeep in the past game's I used it.

Point is I think we have a nice balance at the moment but people want to still change it still, I think set it's damage to 100 and go no lower, or leave it as it is and stop bitching :)

Amen, brotha. It's a sniper rife, not a high velocity foam rocket launcher.

It's rather a hitscan weapon comparable to the Quake Rail. You don't sit around, camping with the "sniper rifle" in a duel...you don't have the time for that. The only way it would have any use as a "sniper rifle" is in a CTF match. :roll:

Nex is far more than a sniper rifle only, unlike Quake's rail its perfectly usable in close range fights too because Nexuiz contains weapon combinations.
Is that right that in svn nex has range dependant damage and push? Shock rifle is coming I guess, but well... at least it gives more reason for the existence of camping rifle, that I like personally quite much (would be even cooler if the through-wall bullet would damage more however :D)

@kojn: yeah I noticed too, hagar is damn awesome on stormkeep, dunno why its that, maybe because of the medium sized rooms it contains. :D

Right, because only in CTF games are there opportunities to snipe. No other game mode has maps in which there are elevated places and nexes.

So is it actually going to be like a shock-rifle..similar re-fire rate, or same re-fire as now but range dependant damage? :(

I agree, leave the nex alone. Balance is getting more and more broken as time goes on it seems.
Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.
