Sounds more like a fast-firing street-sweeper. Sounds like it would fix ammo balance issues if implemented properly. I think it should be better for cleaning out small rooms and hallways while the starter shotgun has range advantage against it and can take down somebody wielding this street-sweeper if they're further away. Kinda like UT99's enforcer vs it's chaingun, somebody with a minigun at the midway point of CTF-Face (Facing Worlds) would be taken down by the guy with the enforcer, move in a little closer however and the guy with the minigun would win that fight. If done right this could create scenarios similar chaingun vs enforcer in UT99 which would be really cool.
