New Icon for Nexuiz

Here's an official thank you for the great work you guys have done on porting Nexuiz to Mac OS X, and optimizing it to run well and fast. On a personal note, this game reminds me a lot of the multiplayer aspect of the old Quake (from my childhood), and I love its advanced graphics and well set gameplay.

It's a high-res icon for Windows and Mac, with a 512 pixel transparent image included for Linux users to make their icon. (Sorry, I'm not familiar with the format of icons on Linux, but I guess you can shrink the high-res image, and save it as an icon. Perhaps someone could post the Linux icon file here, when that's done? Thanks.)

Hehe no. The former Nexuiz Community, that has made Nexuiz what it currently is, has abandoned this place and moved to www.xonotic.org. You find the whole story here: viewtopic.php?t=6079. All that's left here is spambots, djsupport and, occasionally, me.

The icon you did is very nice - though I doubt anyone will pick up on it, since I don't know of a single developer that is working on Nexuiz at the moment. But if you like, you can make suggestions for Xonotic, the former Nexuiz Community is very excited about the project and, due to the Illfonic "drama" the project proceeds very fast, with many many people contributing all sorts of high quality stuff. Your talents would for sure be appreciated over there, too.

Hey, that's no problem! My icon is licensed under a non-commercial CC license. If you guys like it, I can easily make a quick adjustment, and use/create Xonotic's logo and change the colours if needed. I'll join your forums, and see if I can make a post there. Would you do me the honour of escorting this 'newb' there?

Dunno if there is anything to escort, the Xonotic Community (formerly: Nexuiz Community) is a very friendly and open one. One of the reasons why I am still playing this game, in fact (or Xonotic, eventually). Just register, and if you come up with anything pretty or usable, then cool!

Alright, thanks mate. I hope I can be of service. I'm curious to see how far Xonotic will make it. Will it be as professional looking with a great gameplay, as Nexuiz? When questions of 'bribe' arise, will it remain strong and pure? (Will the Mac port rule all games in performance and quality?)

I sure hope you guys all have character. This Nexuiz deal is ugly indeed. Distasteful to the bone. When will people understand, that money doesn't buy everything.
