I did have a look at the proposed maps:
- Darkzonectf: we should have a look at it and do some testing
- hydronexb3: we already found out in the past that the flag on this map is too hard to capture because it's hard to get through or in the flagroom
- medivalV2: no, sorry, one can just do a straight run from flag 1 to flag 2 in a few seconds, plus the flag is too hard to defend against fash lasergun rushers ^^
- mojoctf_v2b1: lol, that is a FUN map, a flag captures in less then 3 seconds (on my FIRST attempt I did it in 3.09 seconds)
- reservoir-nex_b3: I know this map quit well already from FFA. It's worth a try I'd say
- spyglass-nex: No, sorry. One can get from flag to flag too fast!
- skycastle: The same here. One can get from flag to flag too fast/easily, and it is hard to guard the flag
- hal_palindrome_nex: interesting map, might even be good with its size, but it lacks good FPS, at least here. It is not playable. (goes down to 50-70 FPS often, and NOOO; this is still not playable, not just because something is > 30 FPS it doesn't mean it would be playable, alright ?)
- mIKEctf2_nex: this is a great map, but it is really too big for 3on3 !
- castle: well, one can get easily from flag to flag, too. But it isn'T that straight forward and I see better possibilites to block enemies there. However, it also looks a bit small for 3on3. Needs to be tested.
- lavaflag: no idea, I cannot judge how it will play, it needs to be tested
- towers: gnaaah wurg
- hourglass: could be worth a try, but I'd not allow to add both hourglass and lavaflag to the pool as they are so similar
So, the result of this review is that the maps DarkzoneCTF, reservoirnex, castle and lavaflag should be tested
