Hi you guys. I'm new to Nexiuz and have been playing for about 3 weeks, and I'm loving it. This is so much better than OpenArena.
Anyways, I'm just a casual player looking to join a laid-back clan. I'm looking for:

*casual practices/matches, preferably CTF or Deathmatch, but anything is fine
*people looking for frag buddies, not competition
*a USA-based group
*nice people wow, what a concept
*low-medium skilled people to learn along with and help each other out

Is there any clan out there like this?

As usual my inactivity on forums makes my answer relatively slow. I'm easy to contact on irc. Back to the point, there is a Nexuiz bootcamp, and info can be located below. This is a pre-clan community, and a lot of clans recruit from here.

It is a community,not a clan like mentioned some places. As far as notehead joining an actual clan, you just described ours. [+] Lunetist has been around for about a year. We do compete, but we're not quite so worried about the outcome. This isn't to say we wouldn't want to win any matches, but we rarely do and it doesn't bother us lol. We are definitely more of a social clan than a competitive clan. We're at irc.quakenet.org - #lunetist.nexuiz
