Yes, I had been thinking about it, but didn't know if they were enough players to compete/spend my time setting it up and running it.

i cant se any reason to keep a separate ladder. it kinda defies the purpose of the ladder being international

I play on the GA and NY ladder servers bout every night against different people, so the people are here, just need guidance. I'd like to play on the ladder, but the high pings would ruin the fun

The ladder being international kinda ignores differences in ping time.

If someone in Sweden plays someone in the US, which server do they use?

The ladder is very small right now, so I dont see the need of a 2nd ladder. All I would do is to never agree a challenge from a player where i know the connection will be unplayable for one of us. But I dont see a problem if americans join the ladder and play each other.

The problem is that there is a limit to how many matches you can refuse.

I don't see a real problem with a North American Ladder only. People want to play in competition with decent pings. There's no reason for a NA player to have to play on European servers. So yes, there does indeed need to be a separate ladder.

I agree with Mr. Carlyle. Us NA people dont have an easy time playing in European games, because of the ping.

I think that most people know, that it makes no sense to play someone with unplayable ping. Here is a part of the rules, just to avoid troubles.

7. Challenging
To avoid connection problems, consider:

not challenging players that are far away from you geographically. For example, it would not be wise to challenge an American player if you are from Germany.

not immediately accepting a challenge, but getting in contact with the other player first. Discuss the server selection, even test servers etc. If your discussion/testing results in "match would be unplayable", the challenger can delete the challenge easily.

If you already accepted the match and both of you come to the conclusion to not play the match, you must contact an admin and ask him to delete the challenge.

The reason why i would like to see americans join "our" ladder:I think that it looks better for _now_, when the normal ladder grows (the more are in, the more are willing to join). Splitting it afterwards couldnt be that much of troubles and adding USA servers to the serverlist neither. And be honest, is it worth it to create a pure usa ladder with 5-10 people in it?

I hope this could convince some of you. Anways, thats just my oppinion, of course.
