Preliminary release of the Nexuiz color palette chooser tool

Postby GreEn`mArine » Sun Mar 23, 2008 9:57 pm

Hey there.

For the usage in the Nexuiz ladders I created a small tool written in Java that allows you to change the colors blue, red, orange and green of the nexuiz color palette to any different color you like the most.

Here's an illustration:

This tool will give you guys at least some power to manipulate the skincolors (on servers that use sv_defaultplayer_fbskins_xxx).

Please tell me about any problems you have (there actually shouldn't be any). Please note that this program isn't designed to do shit with it (so please don't crazy things like opening 100 gb files, or what ever things you can think of :D )

tested, works for me (save the file to nexuiz/data/gfx/). I'm made all the skins one color I like (is that allowed?). :)

Good to hear that it works.

Of course it is allowed to set the same color for all skins. Just make sure you don't kill your team mates in TDM/CTF games, as you will have trouble to seperate them from your enemies :P

Btw, what I need to know is whether it works fine with the Java Runtime Environment 5 (I only have version 6 here)

The colorchooser is a java component which has its own language definitions. I never created that dialog myself. So I assume java decided to localize it to German as my system is German

I became a bit careful with your patches, GreEn. :P

Now tell me before I maybe try it, does this tool change the colors of the players I see, or do the changes affect the way the others see me :?:

They only affect the colors you see.

Is there any source for this? It's not GPL?
