1: I don't see a download link

2: Is this the retextured version?

This is just a map review, -z-. This is (presumably) the original 'dusty' Nexuiz map.

As a side note, I would like to see Dust2 ported more faithfully to Nexuiz.

Right... well dusty doesn't have a _v2 but this package does.

So I'm going to go ahead and guess he meant this one and not the "original dusty map" as you suggested.

"Hay guys, review my map, find it on your own!!! lawl, noobs"

I'd appreciate if you didn't undermine me when I'm trying to make a request to benefit the community.

Cool your jets. I took it to mean the original Dusty (not lazydusty), not on a whim, but because:

1) He showed a minimap image which is quite obviously the ORIGINAL ONE.

2) He mentioned the this map was made by MORPHED, ergo he is referring to the original, not the remake.

3) The dusty which was being referred to IS named Dusty_v_2, it introduces minor fixes to the 'original' one, but quite similar, and the one which is most played. Look in your DLcache. If he was talking about Lazydusty, he would have said so.

When I said, "dusty doesn't have a _v2", I meant in the title of this thread. As in, this thread isn't talking about 'dusty', it's talking about 'dusty_v2'.

I never said lazydusty... referring to my first comment:
2: Is this the retextured version?

This implies the shape wasn't changed.

I think you're confused.

I'm just trying to give this thread some clarification to both myself and the community.

Bump.

I just played the retextured version (dusty_v2.pk3, 10.2Mb) for the first time and had terrible performance on it compared to the earlier textured version. The textures are still 512x512 but maybe there's something with the bump or norm maps? I can't say I find the new textures better anyway. The earlier version was better I think

In all honesty I disliked the texturing of both versions, although the first one made my eyes bleed a little less.

I've never liked the particular dusty design for CTF I think it just plays downright awful because of its asymmetry. For DM I can see it being not so bad, especially if the wall/roof height was increased.
Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.
