Imho the map is cool with this emptiness, it adds some kinda post-apocalyptic mood for the whole scene. I'd only ad some more dead vegetation or well ruined buildings. And rain or snow.
But I'd definately remove the playerclips above the mountaintops.

After common demand I repaired my mistake and removed the player clips over the center valleys, only letting the ones at the borders in so people couldn't get to the fake skybox and see the terrain edge. Download links in the first post updated, re-download from there (remove old .pk3 file though, had to rename the archive a little cuz one of the file hosts can't delete them and tells me I already have it).

I happened to play this map in minsta ctf. This is one map that makes sense in that mode. I think the emptiness really works when you have high speed. I like the ruins and "gallow poles". Terrain feels smoother than organicrace.

I'd like some more health and armour for moving around in gamemodes without hook. (I'm not skilled like the other posters.)
The jumppads look out of place, some other model would do better.

How about a red/blue gradient? But then It would not be crimson anymore.

And yes, Watchmen is the best graphic novel ever. Black Hole is quite nice too.
