
Still, the map doesn't look THAT bad. What about making an "easy" version of it with multiple objectives?

Speaking of "noob paths", maybe that'd be the ideal solution for mikeeusa's maps. Make the "hard to beat" passages faster to beat (and maybe even a bit harder). But, add "easy" passages besides them that can be used to circumvent the hard parts - with that take substantially longer (as long as your hard passages take now).
For example, tundramagi could have a long underground tunnel system between the bases that isn't guarded by turrets.
Or, think of the laser rooms in this map. An idea would perhaps be making a long hallway with moving lasers that go up and down - but not too far down. Ideally, you can go through them easily while crouched, but "real men" will use a jumppad at the right time to make it past all the lasers at once (but they'll die if they hit a laser on their trajectory).
