I downloaded the file and copied it into my data folder, as well as into the dlcache folder. My nexuiz client(s) can't find a map called beams.

probably because there is no "maps" folder in this package. the "beams" folder will also need to be in a "textures" folder.


you can delete >> .srf, .prt, ___MACOSX files/folder as well

The pk3 doesnt have the proper archive layout I think

Well I repackaged it locally and tried it out and to be honest, I'm not sure it's going to be so popular with players... It's a small box with beams and instant kill lava at the bottom. it's be crowded with more than 2 players and probably not too exciting for most players:



I think perhaps you should work on expanding this map before releasing it.
