[MAP] Laminar

A lovely CTF map based on Effluent, but much shinier I hope. I'll post the file sometime today.

I need to recompile it ONCE more because I noticed some stupid lil errors that were annoying me.

There are various errors in the map, but... well... I'm too damn lazy to pick them out myself.
Look for tiny bits of zfighting and things I cant fix for a smack on the mouth! Feckin... *mumbles scottish words*

Spot an error and you win a prize aka I'll try and fix it for the next version!

If framerates are utterly piss poor I'll learn how to do hint brushes... maybe.
I can also decrease the number of curves etc. if need be. Problem is I'm running a rediculous mammoth of a machine at the moment so I dont really notice a difference between 743 fps and... 739...

Now that I'm sober heres the same screens that were here anyway!

I like the Effluent DM map, so I'm looking forward to this CTF version.

when I get back tomorrow I will check this one out...too many good ctf maps have slipped past my radar in the past 2 months I need to go through them...this one looks good I am hoping it is cause it really looks like it could be...another map for the map pool perhaps? :D we'll wait and see :)

P.S I do like CTF maps in nexuiz now like runningmanctf / mikectf2 / mikectf3 etc cause they have enclosed areas (can move in them better now) but also some open spaces and feel good.

I hope the map isn't too open in places, but by the look of it I don't think it will be, the map size from the screenshots looks good (height of roof / rooms / areas) etc
:]

Nice work Sepelio! It feels like a comfortable map that can suit many playing styles.

I did notice you're missing some textures in your pk3, namely the ones for the boxes to the right in your last screenshot and the 'airvent' that's behind the bases on the ceiling.

Also I think the quads are a little too easily accessable with the portals.

Other than that, awesome job!

Oh dammit I knew I had forgotten something. I'll repackage it in a minute and change the link.

The quad teleports were a matter of contention for me when I put it together, originally the teleports were to go to behind the flag area but I thought that would cut too much off an FCs journey.

Anyway thats the download repackaged with those missing textures.

I played it once and immediately liked the layout. The design is fine, your typical industrial style.
Added to monastery ctf, a bit late, sorry...
