Fans spinning in a hydro-carbon rich sky (OBVIOUS SINCE IT IS YELLOW/ORANGE!!!!!11111111111!!!!!!11111!!11!!!!!11!!!!!111111!! :P)

There are jetpacks too.

This map is about fans, how they move, how they breathe, how they live... for you.

New skybox aswell ofcourse.

Tell me your opinions.
This is an arena type map, a "sky" floater, etc.
It's in the same class as the hampsterwheel map.
Though... that one may be more enjoyable.

looks really cool but may you can use misc_follow to make one platform moving up and down and the fan rotates AND moving up-down? would be good and later will test but have to go to scho** (cant write this forbidden word but its a big house with monsters called "teachers" xD)
but map looks really comfortable so a picknick map xD with sunrise /sunset or what it is

How about making the fans blow the player up instead of down? This way, if you were to come too close to a fan from below, it'd suck you in towards your death instead of the other way around. :twisted:

No, that would not make sense, the fans are holding the platform afloat, to do this they must generate thrust, to do that they must move air from above to below.

Basically the fanplatform is constatly "climbing" the atmosphere like on an endless rope.

I can usually find a way to enjoy your challenging maps... but this one... not so much. It's simply not fun jumping around only to get sucked into a giant fan and die.

Not that you even built the map to be enjoyed by the greater majority of the Nexuiz community.. but it's a shame to waste such a beautiful setting.

Fixing it probably involves simply changing the vector of the trigger_impulses to up so you float above the fans (as was suggested)... but that wouldn't make sence so I didn't do it.

What if it was falling from the heavens? Then you can do a cool shader that involves should how the entire level is falling... maybe even change the gravity a little so that players could get sucked into the fans ABOVE them.

Also I feel like airships would fit this scenery.
