Fortress Resurrection aka cb_ctf4

Notes on v.1 r.1:
=================
Woah, almost 2 years since beta04! :D
Anyway, I've fixed the texture problems, and I've recompiled the map with high quality external lightmaps. Also, there's a radarimage now too.
A blast from the past: some ppl might find the team symbols familiar :)
Possible future releases might include better lightning ;)

About the map:
==============
This is an old-school type ctf map. Red and Blue side is 100% equivalent, with a large flagroom and lot's of corridors to get in there (plus underwater tunnels). The map is designed after Quake2's classical CTF maps, "Stronghold Opposition" and "Mckinely Revival" (hence the name of this map).
There are 4 ways to get in the bases:

-Front door
-Underwater tunnel to Front window
-Underwater tunnel to Mortar room
-Nexgun window

The map is pretty large, so the map requires at least 4on4, but the optimal player count is 6on6. There are lot's of small health and armor laying around the bases, be sure to use your laser/grappler. The map contains all the weapons, but ammo count is limited, so use them visely!
There are plenty of trickjumping hotspots all around the map, so keep your eyes opened!

Yes it's a good ctf map, space to move around, multiple paths, need good teamplay to capture, and fun to play.

Unfortunately people doesn't vote for it often, or "vcall endmatch". What I don't understand is people always complaining about long range snipping doesn't even try this map. And many experimented players don't like it either, maybe because solo capture is harder...

Anyway, thanks for the update. :)

A question about the armors, all became 25 points armor, is it intended ?

Cool to see your working on this =)

I like this map, but i can see how it can be confusing to ppl the first few times around :P
HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along

i really would have liked to update the BETA version we are running on our server, but unfortuntely the link is down allready =( Google found nothing and its not on the NexuizNinjaz map repository ;) So i really did my homework :D If anyone still got this map and reads this, before C.Brutail has the chance to respond, send me PM please, thanks in advance! :)
