Mandatum - A prison where some of the recaptured forces of the MLU have been sent

I used 1024^2 external light maps for this one.
It is built to evoke an opressive style, and harken to rome and the movie Equilibrium.
It probably is no good. Play it and see if it's any good.

DM, CTF, etc.

GPL ofcourse.
Took less than a day to make.

I did use 8 diffrent textures in this map, you'd know that if you played it.

Also I'm not a newbie mapper. I've released 36 other maps for nexuiz so far. All of them used a variety of textures. You don't need to give me these tips thusly. I knew what I wanted in this map and I achieved it I think (my mom said it felt closed in and opressive: win :D!).

Even Equilibrium had more color than that map. One can create depressive/oppressive/resistant looking map even if you use more textures, actually even with a few if done properly (this is not). This map looks so plain and boring gives the impression of a very noobish map (doesn't matter if you are a god in mapping or not, that's how this map looks and feels like).

I agree. I've only viewed the screenshots above, but even if you vary the wall/pillar/floor textures it will look massively better.
Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.

Well the source is there. If you want to change it, go nuts.

Equilibrium had concrete concrete and more concrete.

Alpha: I don't give a damn what you want. Infact I'm usually opposed to whatever you want (which usually is "we need more athoritarian control" etc).

Don't care about what the rest of you want either.

Don't care if it looks noobish either ... I make them because I like to build them and play in them, I then release them to piss you off (you're always pissed off when mike produces something.

mod edit Actually, I've liked one map from you, it run ok, and I suppose it would be fun to play. But oh well...

The map is green: eco friendly: you should love it.
And here's a metaphore!:

Ok, on reflection and after actually playing this map, i quite like it, but one request would be a gap somewhere around the sewer area so that you can get the quad and jetpack and go kick the crap outta them turrets.
Also, what is the e wheel thingy doing down there?
