Please do not use this map. There are much better Deck16 ports/adaptations available.
Search this forum for a bit.. I leave the download link up since i hate broken download links ;)

This map will not be developed any further by me and thus the version/release level will always stay at v1r1..

Ok,

following the old tradition of releasing buggy, unfinished, first-time maps, i bring you

deckdich_v1r1

Inspired by an old UT99 map, which is probably obvious from the screenshots.

I post this mainly to get some feedback on how to fix some of the obvious bugs. And also i would like to know what generally sucks about this map. If, contrary to my belief, anyone has the feeling this map could be fun in the end, that would be quite a treat..

Hehe... nice map.. for a first one ;)

There are just so many problems, I don't even start to mention them (you probably already know them by yourself).
What I'd definately do: leave this map for now, start mapping some smaller ones, learning the basics (and _proper packaging_), and after that, continue mapping this one. :)

Nice. Could you add more detail so it's more like the original though?
More boxen. Also there are misc_laser s now.

So if
misc_laser has:
target bla1
dmg 10000

and you have a
target_position
targetname bla1

It can be like the energy thing in the original where the rocketlauncher was.

That was probably revdm5? I saw it and it's cool, but it lacked a certain kind of "deckness" which i was looking for.. I guess what made deck16][ deck16][ is different for everyone though :)

Could you elaborate on this? I am not positive that i understood what misc_laser does. And IIRC dm-deck16][ had two rocket launchers. One at the bottom before the teleport and one in the room alongside the main room.
