EVERYBODY USE OMPLOADER INSTEAD OF MEDIAFIRE!

Please :-)

Clarification: It allows a direct link to the file so I don't have to download to my desktop first. Instead, I can just wget it right on my server.

I refuse, at any rate Mediafire is the best free host out there so far. Ever tried to use Nakido?

WORST. HOST. EVER.

Some of the UFO:AI svn builds are on Nakido and its shit unless you download the program for it. Imho you should -never- have to download a fecking program for something like that. Sheer ass-hattery.

Sepelio, the increase usage of RapidShare type file hosters by mappers is a real problem for server admins for the reason Dokujisan stated in his previous post. On a server you normally don't have a GUI and web browser which makes it very time consuming to add new maps to the server. You would do them a great service by providing a direct download link to the .pk3, but also to yourself because ultimately you will want to have your map you worked hard on played on servers I think.

So even if you don't want to use Omploader, maybe there is another filehoster that you can use that allows direct links? Even if it's just as a failsafe link for the server admins on this forum.
Now with new shiny avatar.

Sigh... well I suppose I'll just use omploader in future then. Sorry if my previous post sounded hostile I was a little tipsy and I really do hate Nakido with a passion.

I just played v1r2 on Simba, a good map on a nice server.

Thanks to Sepelio and Merlijn.

However, I do not like the jump pad under the base (you pick up the flag and then slip down the side), it is a very easy escape route.

Several other CTF maps have similar escape routes - cb_ctf and Evil Space. I think these maps are flawed and let the flag holder make an easy escape.

NEW VERSION 1r3

Yup, its been updated again to fix a few bugs and gripes.

-You can no longer get stuck in the tunnels underneath the bases (theres a teleport right along the floor)
-Fixed an overlapping brush
-People who try to hide/camp certain areas are now in for a slow, painful surprise
-Fixed another area where you could fall off and get stuck. Instead you just die.
-Tweaked one of the buttons so it actually presses in like a button

Sadly I couldn't really do much about the jump pads but at least some things are fixed.
