haha thankyou everyone. Yes the blue side of the map has many glitches. I have uni exams (engineering = hard) at the moment and I wanted to stop spending study time on netraident, so i simply mirrored the red side of the map to the blue side without a lot of effort and released it as beta for feedback. Which explains the random moving doors missing sitars ect. But I also have enough feedback from everyone what direction to go next.

I will get back to it in a weeks time but for now im learning blender so I can replace the chairs made from brushes into models to optimize performance. And continue from there.

Also other Australian mapper fabzor3 is also going give me a hand to make it even sexier.

and yes k0ja, I love the idea of real life places for maps. I was thinking of doing an Olympic stadium next with track and field events (poll vault, high jump long jump ect) haha

Ps. keep note this is my second netraident map (other being arena_ctf_v1) so I still have alot to learn. Although I am extremely patient and spend alot of time on my hobbies :P So any advanced information would be of great help :)

Unfortunately, Nexuiz freezes for me when I try to load the map. Tried several times, none that I can get in to. Always end up killing the Nexuiz process, and I have 6GB Ram, core i7, Win7, so it should work; no lack of bad computer here.

Cuinnton, for the fans I found out about it through this thread from tonnedu:

http://www.alientrap.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=58725&sid=050ad63af43cdd8c65549b744a076447

Here's how I did it in my own words:

1. I make a square brush and textured it with an origin tex.
2. Then I make another brush above or beside it (depends on the axis the map is supposed to rotate from) and texture it with a nodraw/non-solid tex.
3. Then I click the origin brush first and then the second brush. Right click and select func_rotating.
4. Then I find a model (Or another brush that is both visible and solid) and select it and the nodraw/nonsolid brush i just made earlier and press ctrl+k to link them. The linked brush/model will now rotate according to the settings on the origin brush.
5. Note that you can change the axis of the rotation by ticking the little boxes on the entity viewer window. I didn't notice those at first and had to spend 5 hours wondering why my propeller model only rotated in the z axis, heh.

Hope that helps. Still a new mapper like you, and have no idea concerning fog and steam though. :(

Anyway, very nice map. :D

Thank you Oblivion, appreciate it. Yes I couldn't do the second revision of my map in time for the competition like your sexy creative map corsair.

A beta2 will be coming soon :)
