New stuff:

- New skybox
- Added sound-fx
- Added rain ! (only available with the current svn-build or the forthcoming 2.2 release. see screenies)
- Added trickjumps (have fun practicing them ;))
- Added waypoints for bots

I'm very satisfied how this map turned out and i'd consider this version final, still i'm open for comments and critics of all kind.

The overall look is now a tad darker, hopefully not too dark for you.
After all it's brighter then a lot of the other maps (i tested it with gamma 1.0 and think it's ok)

Get it here ! (if you have downloaded the previous version, delete it)

Played around on this map, qutie entertaining. Makes me thinking of asking the nex team for a new game mode, eXtreme neXuiz. Trust me, play it to find out.

Very nice design, smooth, quick map. I reckon it'd be great for 1v1, 2v2, or 6-8 dm. But thats me.

I like the idea of rain in the new engine build :) Are there other new weather effects, or is it just a general particle generator that lets you make whatever you want?

Heh, now I'm gonna ruin ruiner :P Or just perhaps point out some nice things. Well, nice things as it's fun to do this but maybe not so nice for the map.

When I was laserjumping for the heck of it (love laserjumping and flying and all that ^_^) I came across an edge and to my suprise I ended up on the map. I know that the place where the rocket is and that jumppad there's no way of jumping out or on top of the map. So this was a suprise, and then I started to check out the whole map and I came across many places where you can jump up on and shoot down at folks (though you can't shoot through the ceiling/floor, that thing you stand on. You will need to shoot where the walls don't hinder the shots). A link of screens follow below.

Oh and, I don't see any water or rain.. how do you turn that on?

Since you ruind ruiner you cant, magic function :twisted:

Heh seriosly, you cant. not yet. its a feature in the upcomming nexuiz 2.2 release. (you could download the SVN version and compile it yourself if yer desperate for some moisture ; )

Currently rain and snow.. but i have no idea if one can change the effect..

Thanks for the feedback.

@ai: uh, yeah i forgot to clip this due to a late change to the skybox brushes... will be fixed

@Shoe: It's a specific engine particle effect. As esteel said there's only rain and snow so far. But it should be possible to change the parameters (like rain goin up from the ground to the sky or going horizontal...) I've not tried this since it wouldn't really fit 8)

@ai: r_wateralpha 1 to turn on water.... I think you use 0 since u stole my cfg. And as all above said: Rain and Snow is in 2.2

do the DCC servers have a player-limiited map-rotation ? As you know there is a system where you can specify which map to take with number of players is <= x ... so that we don't have just another 10 players on a 1on1 map situation which is so common

about the map: it's better now, some nice trickjumps. thanks
