2.1 sounds and models

After trying out 2.2 there was many changes (sound and certain models) and I at first didn't like some of the things so I made .pk3's with the old sound and old models. Though I am using the new models, there are advantages by those which I like but I didn't like the sounds (no offense tChr :P) so I switched back to the original ones. And for you people who want to switch back too, I am uploading the .pk3 files.

old_models.zip

Download them and put them in your 'data' folder in Nexuiz.

There was a small talk in #alientrap of what the ladder will accept. So for you that want to play ladder matches should wait till they announce what they will go for. There are some that doesn't like the new sounds and others that love them. But they have a flaw as they don't decrease in distance which can confuse some players, so we should wait to what the ladder decides.

Well, the list of what changed is what is new in 2.2. Those .pk3's are nexuiz 2.1. But if you want a list of what's changed in 2.2 here it is.

Small healthpack (5 health)
Medium healthpack (25 health)
Megahealth (100 health)

Small armour packs (5 armour)
Medium armour (100 armour)

Shotgun
Uzi / Machinegun (and the cells)
Carni model (Well this ain't changed more than the hitbox, the models looks the same, though I hear it has a new skin)

And of course the Grenade Launcher sounds that tChr made are now the standard in 2.2

All these are in my .pk3's changed back as how it used to be in Nexuiz 2.1.

The changed skin was for Nexus, not Carni.

Ah ok, then it is just the hitbox thing with carni? Maybe I should delete that outta the .pk3?

yes you should.. cause that is kinda a bugfix..
besides.. i would not bother DLing 2.2 and putting these pk3s in.. i'd just stick with 2.1 XD

Well, those .pk3 are for newbies and latest version freaks like me. :P And also, 2.1 will be deleted of the nexuiz site so if new newbies who cannot find 2.1 or doesn't want to bother searching for it :P

And the carni is not fixed iirc, only changed to the previews one as it was in 1.0 to 2.0. You can check that out by watching the chatbubble above the carni. In 2.1 it was fixed when carni stood still but not when moving. Now it's vice versa.

The problem with carni is the center of the walk/standing aminations is not the same..
We noticed one can only change one of them so it either 'right' when walking or when standing.. Its back the 'right' when walking now as that happens more often then noobish camping ;) and also when standing you most of the time stand in front of the opponent so this is not a big problem.. (The standing animation is a bit in front of where it should be.
