Fog

I assume that because Radiant has a Fog texture (http://clankiller.com/games/quake/gtkradianttut/tut8/index3.php), one can create fog that you can run through. Does this work in Nexuiz? I have never seen it ingame, as far as I can remember. If so, does it slow the game down much? :)

Afaik brush fog isn't working in Nexuiz. However, you can add fog to any maps with engine fov, setting fov values. There are some values in the wiki about this.

Exactly here: http://www.alientrap.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Main.Tweaks

I've only seen one map in Nex use fog (one of the tzork's, I think), so while it's not particularly widely-used, yes it is possible :)

I would not recommend using fog, at least not if the idea is to reduce the line of sight, because a: it requiers some fetures that not all gpus have, and b: any client can disable the fog localy at any time by using "fog 0" in the console. And if the map uses the fog to limit the line of sight, the ones that disables the fog gain an unfair advantage.
HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along
<Samua>]Idea: Fix it? :D
<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.
