How to make your characters "Nexuiz"

So I wanted everyone to list the things that are "nexuiz" so that the community will have an idea of how they should make their models, weapons, levels, etc...

Nexuiz is not really a scary looking game. It's more of a "mindless violence" type of game, so we should stick closely to that. This is also a good opportunity to rethink the art direction. Since people are planing to remodel some characters.

In General:
- The bigger the better
- I think we should go with less saturated colors because we want to be taken as a serious hardcore game. I think we can move away from using bright colors because people will view it as a silly game when in fact it has much depth to it.


Characters:

- Big muscles
- metal armor
- scales or otherworldly skin
- sharp teeth
- trying using hybrid humanoids creatures

errr I think it's pretty hard to make a map that doesn't fit the theme, as long as you don't use custom textures.

On the other hand, though, too dull of colors will make the game seem kinda bland and generic. It's probably best to find a middle ground.

Also, glad to see a fellow Ohioan on the boards :)

- Big muscles
- metal armor
- big shoulderpads
- lots of glowing lights
- hi-tech, sci-fi feel !
- mesh that will let me make lots of diferent skins
- only humanoids to use same anims for all models
- group models in few coherent teams ( space marines, aliens, cyborgs, carnis etc )
- bigger muscles ;)
