Yeah, the particle system and dynamics are reaaally fun to play with :) Many hours will fall victim if you're not careful enough :P
But as far as the particle thingies would work for Nexuiz I do not know. Never tried that for a game. But you just maybe meant playing with it not actually include it in the model. For show it would be great though.

tZork & Ivan's logo is nice, though the old one looks more professional.
You should work on the especially on the texture and lighting.

sup people
Just letting you know that I am still alive. I just finished my midterms and that means I have time to work on nexuiz stuff. I am beveling the edges to that logo now. It is a bit complex because I have to clean up a lot of that geometry, but it is coming along.

I actually can't wait to see the result. And I rarely get excited about stuff like this. But I also think why I am.. and that's a secret.

for some reason, after beveling the edges and applying bump mapping, the bump map gets really distorted. I might just skip the beveling and smooth the edges in final cut pro.

Those sawteeth look like the result a sharp edge in your bumpmap. If your bumpmap started as a picture of the nex 'n' you may want to stroke it.

Have you tried mapping the whole object? I would guess planar would do the trick, and if it still is a little distorted you could always go in there and move UV's yourself. As a rule always when you bevel objects the mapping disappears and you have to make one yourself. Using the already mapping options helps in creating it in a fast way.

I dont get why you all are trying to make the logo in 3D, Vector for example, might be a much more fitting format for a logo.

Love the one by morphed tho.
