zmodel .obj parser

What is the best way forward for nexuiz character models and character editing?

Can md5 be used for player models? Is it non stone-aged?

No, darkplaces doesn't support md5 models, but with some luck it can be converted to dpm or psk: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libax/ (there is also a doom2dpm converter (in alpha or beta stage) based on the same lib, but i can't find a link...)

Both .obj and .zym are bad. I'd like anything but those. Or as long s it isn't a hassle to get it to work :)

MD5 sounds best... that or maybe Source engine mdl. Those formats should have most tools available. LordHavoc should know the md5 format because his new in-progress engine (Darkwar) supports them. my 2 cents.

MD5 would be my first choice, but support would have to be added to DP. DPM wouldn't be bad either, once a MD5->DPM converter is available.
