Maya is probably one of the best known rendering studious out there and fyi they offer a free student ver. for any1 who wants to get into Maya to edit this game or make ur own models. Go to http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/in ... id=7639525 This is completely ligitamate and the only restrictions are
#1 Its a slightyly odler ver.
#2 You cant sell your game.
But its perfect for Nexuiz so I would check it out...

There's a watermark over the view's in the PLE versions of Maya (Personal Learning Edition) which that even if you render our things it will be rendered too. I don't know how it would work exported. If the model is distorted or if the PLE version allowed certain plugins to be installed (or function properly).
But if anyone got answers for this please post em. I won't bother with the PLE as I have Unlimited 8.5.

But lot of people in this community works with Blender too, and I don't think they will switch to PLE version of Maya

No, it's not. The restriction of not being able to sell stuff you created with that version is 100% incompatible with the GPL licensing Nexuiz uses.
