This map is smaller than lavaflag, there is no Nex. It does have a nice little machine gunner bunker. I'd say it's a medium to large sized map. Bi-Level throughout, I tried to close it up to reduce the wide open spaces, without cramping. The hazard around the bases are the unique feature. I just hope it plays faster than lavaflag. (The stairs are much smoother)

It should be easier to cap the flag sans the Nex. Snipers will have to settle for the machine guns which are abundantly placed throughout. Oh yes, the bridge doubles as a display case for the previously mentioned super weapon. There is a message on the ceiling, to quell the curiosity of those ask "Does this map have a nex?". :twisted:

Should this not work properly, please let me know so that I can fix it!

I turned up the resolution to 1600x1200, checked off _all_ the bells and whistles for these screenshots -- 7 fps!.

Next time please add mapcfg files to it, and if possible, a jpg and a txt file too. Look in other map PK3s how to do it.

Just played it... I am positively surprised, it looks really good... although I don't really like the layout, there's too many dark places to hide. Well, maybe I'll get used to it... :)

The map is on RBI CTF now. It may even be good enough for the CTF ladder.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

like divVerent already said a map cfg

a sky box wont be wrong

correct lightning and texturing ( no red stairs and lights at the blue base)

and more lightning points and the map will be good :D

Ok, Thanks for the comments! Very constructive, I'll work on the lighting ... some miscolored textures got through eh? WELL - I'll take care of them, good heavens the audacity! I'll also have to figure out how to do a sky box.

Thanks for hosting this on RBI divVerent, you run a great server.

Cool map! plays well and looks nice, could do with a bit of work on the light tho. Well done! =)

Still have to look at the map.. but regarding your comment on the download page.. The screenshots are darker because they are taken with gamma 1.0 which is actually the gamma mappers should use then creating their map to look nice :)

- removed deviant spawn location
- changed a mega health to quad damage under stairs
- added config files

So that means two quads almost right next to eachother? Will be interesting to see how that works out :D

Well there are still open holes were you can walk 'above' the map.. or when you fall down outside the flagroom you can see and walk underneath the map (till you are dead from the lava)
But i really like the style of it and it plays very well! Its just a bit strange to have the quad on one side in the middle..
