Map Test

Postby Odin » Tue Jun 19, 2007 6:29 pm

What are the necessary command-line arguments required to run the engine and load a map with cheats enabled?

For Quake 3(and derivatives) it is this:
Code: Select all
<binary> +set sv_pure 0 +devmap <map>

Since Nexuiz/Darkplaces is Quake 1 based, the method is different. How do I disable pure checking and run a map with cheats enabled on the command line?

Some other things that may be of interest in this context (needs sv_cheats 1)

impulse 99, give all weapons, ammo, etc.
impuse 13 & 14, spawn a copy of yourself (one of in place spawn, the other with som eforward momentum)

hmm thats all i can think of atm =)
HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along
<Samua>]Idea: Fix it? :D
<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.

For additional technical info you can use r_speeds 1 (same as q3)
